Muthoot M George Higher Education Scholarship is an initiative by Muthoot M George Foundation, the CSR division of The Muthoot Group, for the purpose of honoring meritorious students to pursue their professional education.
Association with Save the Children, India
The Muthoot Group, through its association with Save the Children, has facilitated improvement in the quality of education in primary schools managed by East Delhi Municipal Corporation and has supported the National objective of universal enrollment and retention.
Association with Magic Bus
As an extension of The Muthoot Group's endeavours in reaching out to the economically disadvantaged sections of the country, the Group joined hands with Magic Bus Foundation to implement a child centric project titled "Muthoot Haathi Mera Saathi" in Ranchi (Jharkhand) and in Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
Distribution of Educational Material
As part of The Muthoot Group's consistent efforts towards facilitating quality education in the underprivileged areas of the country, the Group distributed 1100 examination pads & drawing kits and 150 gift-hampers to underprivileged students of Municipal School in Thane.
Scholarships to Underprivileged Students
The Muthoot Group has been extending its support towards the education of underprivileged schoolchildren by awarding scholarships to 10th standard toppers from Government Schools in the states of Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Last year, 600 students benefitted through this initiative.
Vivaha Sammanam Project 2018
Our Foundation has been extending a helping hand to parents from underprivileged and poor families to make the marriage of their daughters possible. The Foundation felt this was a need that they should support wholeheartedly.
Muthoot Vivaha Sammanam II Phase
The second phase of the program was implemented for another ten daughters of widows from Kottayam and Ernakulam. These widows were given monetary support for the marriage of their daughters. This project was launched in 2015 and was implemented in Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Palakkad districts.
The Muthoot Group is committed to the cause of providing quality healthcare facilities to the underserved and the unreached sections of society. Project Snehasraya is one such effort in this direction. Through this healthcare outreach program, the Group provides fully equipped Mobile Labs which travel across villages, rural and semi-urban areas n Kerala and Tamil Nadu to conduct free of cost check-ups for the purpose of prevention and early detection of renal diseases, diabetes and hypertension.
Support to Research in Renal Diseases
The Muthoot Group has instituted an award for the 'Best Researcher in Renal Diseases', in collaboration with the Kidney Research Foundations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, to promote medical research in this field.
Disease Detection Camps
The Group has also been organizing Orthopedic Camps, Hip and Knee Disease Detection Camps, and Thyroid Detection Camps in various parts of Kerala. As part of the Orthopedic Camps, advanced treatment procedures like ultrasound, bone density measurement, total knee replacement, and total hip replacements are explained by leading orthopedics.
Muthoot Aashiyana Project
Muthoot Aashiyana is a project implemented for construction of 200 houses for the flood victims in Kerala. The construction of the houses is planned in the worst flood affected areas like Paravoor, Alwaye, Chengannoor, Aaranmula, Thiruvalla, Kozhencherry, Kuttanad, Kumarakom, Thodupuzha, Malapuram, Chellanam, Trichur and Idukki.

Muthoot M George Foundation, CSR wing of The Muthoot Group has handed over the first disaster resilient home to the flood-affected family of Rajeswary and Subramanian at a home dedication ceremony in Annamanada, Trichur, Kerala.
The key handover ceremony was graced byHH Dr. Mathews Mar Timotheus, Assistant Metropolitan of Chengannur Diocese,Mr. George Alexander Muthoot, Managing Director, Mr. George Thomas Muthoot, and Mr.George Jacob Muthoot, Joint Managing Directors, The Muthoot Group.
